Couchon Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is located at 2830 W State Road 84, Unit 103, Fort Lauderdale. Classes run seven days a week and include adult gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, a kids program (Little Scorpions and Junior Scorpions) and a Saturday MMA session. The academy does not require contracts and offers trial classes.
The academy is owned and taught by Will Couchon III, a black belt who came to jiu-jitsu at age 20 after many years of wrestling and has trained for more than 20 years. The adult curriculum centers on fundamentals: position, escapes, submissions and takedowns, with small class sizes.
