A Train-cation is a martial arts trip you build yourself. Choose your dates, room, training package and add-ons, and MATCO takes care of the rest. Travel whenever it suits you, solo or with friends.
Same price, more support. Jungle's Edge gives MATCO its direct rates, so you pay exactly what you'd pay booking with the resort. The difference is a free travel advisor who plans your trip, handles transfers and add-ons, and answers the midnight questions before and during your stay.
Request to book. There's no charge until MATCO confirms your trip. Then a 50% deposit secures it, and the balance is due 30 days before arrival. Costa Rica's 13% sales tax is added to your total.
Not instantly. When you submit your request, MATCO confirms availability with Jungle's Edge and gets back to you to finalize your reservation.
Yes. Many guests travel solo. You can build a Train-cation for one or join a Featured Camp and train with the group.
A Featured Camp is a scheduled retreat with set dates, led by a host academy or instructor. You train and travel with a group, and the schedule is planned for you.
Yes. Partners, friends and family who don't train are welcome. Let us know when you request your trip and we'll help choose the right package for them.
Yes. Add surf lessons, private training, massage and recovery, ATV rentals, local excursions and airport transfers when you build your Train-cation.
No. Flights aren't included, so you book them separately. We're happy to advise on the best arrival and departure times.
Fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR), about 2.5 hours from Jungle's Edge. Airport transfers can be added when you build your Train-cation.
