Gracie Ohio (Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy) was founded in 1992 in Westerville, a northeast suburb of Columbus, by Jeff Hudson, who received his black belt from Relson Gracie in 2003 as Relson's fourth American black belt. It is one of the earliest American-founded Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies.
The academy teaches gi and no-gi Jiu-Jitsu with a self-defense emphasis, with classes for kids and adults offered six days a week. The recently renovated facility is matted with Fuji mats and includes a lounge area. Students have medaled at IBJJF Pan-Ams and Worlds, and the team has won team titles at Fight To Win, the Arnold Classic, Fuji and Grappling Industries events.
