Grove City Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy serves the Grove City and southwest Columbus area with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, no-gi, Muay Thai, MMA and kids martial arts classes. The academy is led by owner Dave Freetage, a 3rd-degree black belt in the Vitor Oliveira / GFTeam lineage and a long-time Columbus police officer and defensive tactics instructor.
The instructor team includes five black belts along with brown and purple belt assistants. A local news feature reported close to 300 students training monthly, and the academy hosts an annual 'BJJ for Bridgeway' charity event that has raised money for a local school for students with developmental disabilities.
