Immortal Martial Arts Center was opened in Lewis Center, Ohio in 2018 by Matt Brown, a UFC welterweight who fought in the promotion from 2008 until his retirement in 2024. The academy has since added a second location in Gahanna, and both run adult programs in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, judo, Muay Thai kickboxing and MMA alongside a kids program that starts at age four.
The academy's stated mission is to help members lead healthy lifestyles through progression in the martial arts. Since 2019 it has run a free weekly class for people with disabilities (the Alpha Immortal Army), and it also operates a merchandise store and the Immortal Coffee brand.
